0-2? WTF?!

This isn’t exactly the kind of start to the 2009 season that most Yankee fans were expecting. The Yankees dropped another game to the Orioles tonight, 7-5. Not a blowout, but not a win either. Pitching was supposed to have been a strength for the Yankees, but the ERA’s for CC Sabathia and Chien-Ming Wang — 12.46 and 17.18, respectively — are horrendous. At least Mark Teixeira finally got a hit (and an RBI)

Two games into the season certainly isn’t time to panic, but these first two losses are very disconcerting. What’s really troubling is that, as of tonight, the Yankees have the same winning (or rather, losing) percentage as the Nationals!

I know the Yankees aren’t as bad as they’ve seemed in their first two games. Patience is, indeed, required. Thanks for the kind words!

Don’t be silly…of course the Yankees are going somewhere. They’re goin’ to Kansas City to play the Royals! 🙂
